Professional Development Credit for Interpreters/Instructors/Teachers (CEUs) FAQs
How many hours of CEUs can I earn at CODA CON!?
To be determined
Will I need to provide my own professional organisation's identification information?
Yes. We will process CEUs for many organisations, however, we do not have your personal identification/membership information with those organisations and we will not be able to look it up for you.
How are the CEUs reported to Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or other organisations?
We will report to RID all the required documentation. We will provide certificates of completion for those that need it for other organisations upon request.
Will I need to submit something to RID as proof for my CEUs earned while at conference?
No. However, others will need to request other documentation for their specific organisations (depending on what they require) to the local committee prior to conference. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for these requests.
Will there be a certificate of Attendance or some kind of proof for my records?
Yes. We also highly recommend you take a picture for your records of any collected documentation before we collect it.
I don’t have RID certification; I have certification from x-organisation. Who can I contact to specify what I need to gather for evidence that I participated in these trainings?
Email email@example.com and tell us about it. We'll get you in touch with the right person!
Will the CEUs be categorized as Professional Studies or General Studies?
Many of the workshops that will have CEUs awarded will be considered "Professional Studies" however, some will be General Studies depending on the mixed nature of the content and audience that is expected to attend. We will have a better idea as the program is solidified.

What is the weather like in June in San Diego, California?
June in San Diego brings what is often called, "June Gloom." This is a Southern California phrase used to describe a weather pattern that results in cloudy, overcast skies with cool temperatures during the late spring and early summer. Low-altitude stratus clouds form over the cool water of the California Current, and spread overnight into the coastal regions of Southern California. As often as it is cloudy, it can be sunny this time of year as we welcome the summer months to this region!
