CODA International is a volunteer-led non-profit organization. If you have a specific skill set or knowledge, we can find a place for you here in CODA! 

CURRENT VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Membership Chair

The membership chairperson has a very important job!  All memberships are approved by the membership chairperson. 

The responsibility of the membership chairperson includes:

  • -Use our membership platform to ensure that all active members are currently paid members
  • -Maintains email communication with members, ensuring accuracy with membership and dues-related needs. 

Estimated time 1-2 hour(s) a week.  More time during the months of December-January, and around conference time.

Training is provided.  If you are organized, honest and able to multitask, CODA can use you!

2023 Conference Volunteers

The 2023 CODA Conference, Colorful CODA will be held in Incheon, South Korea.

We need volunteers to help out with  things like Registration Table, Photography, Buddy for Newcomer, Hospitality/Decorating/Set up, Interpreters, Special events - Awards/Pinning Ceremony, Morning exercise - Yoga or pilates instructor, Breakout Group Facilitators, Auction – Live and Silent, Auctioneer(s), Entertainment (stage support), A/V and/or Tech Support, Runners.

RESTRUCTURE AD-HOC COMMITTEES

These committees will be tasked with presenting the following in outline/list format to the membership and current CODA International Board by the 2023 Business Meeting:

  • A proposal of domicile of the new organization;
  • Bylaws; (in 2024)
  • Affiliation structure, including membership and region structure;
  • Proposed structure of the new entity, keeping in mind countries that do not currently have CODA organizations;
  • Development of budget; and 
  • Setup of the Executive Officers and Board of Directors.

Length of term: February 2023 to Conference date 2024

Applicants will be notified no later than 20 March 2023.

CODA International is a private organization maintained and governed by CODA International members. Codas being persons who have one or more parent with a demonstrable and verifiable hearing loss. Non Codas interested in becoming Supporting Members are encouraged and highly welcomed. Persons joining as a voting member or registering for CODA International conference or specified events, found to be non-Coda will automatically have their status changed to Supporting Member and any dues or fees paid to CODA will be forfeited. The privacy and security of all registered members is a top priority for the purpose of admittance, denials, and revocations.
